After the Noon Mass at St. Joseph Parish had concluded, new candidates and current Knights gathered in the church for a separate Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity. The ceremony introduces new members to the guiding principles of the Knights of Columbus and invites them to commit to living those principles in service to the Church, their families, and the community.
Through prayer, reflection, and the witness of brother Knights, the candidates heard how charity calls us to care for those in need, how unity strengthens us in a common purpose, and how fraternity forms a brotherhood rooted in faith and mutual support.
The candidates then stood together before the parish community to affirm their willingness to put their faith into action. Their commitment is not only to the work of the Order, but also to becoming stronger Catholic men, husbands, fathers, parishioners, and neighbours.
We are pleased to welcome Brothers Kwesi Wells, Gerard Dekarz, Luc Picard, Raphael Labayo, Pavao Kaurinovic, and Kevin Vu, who joined our councils during this afternoon's ceremony.
Afterward, the brothers continued the afternoon with refreshments and conversation. It was a simple but fitting conclusion: the beginning of new friendships and a shared life of service within the Order.
Congratulations and welcome, Brothers! May your journey with the Knights of Columbus be filled with faith, friendship, and many opportunities to serve.
